Post-Measurement of 4th Generation Sorento Diesel 4WD Expressway in Kia

The fourth generation Sorento's fuel economy was measured on a 235-kilometer route from Seoul to Gimcheon as usual. The measurement method is the same. Stop at the gas station before departure to refuel, then take the highway to your destination. Driving is subject to road speed limits whenever possible, but it is repeated with the flow, and vehicles with cruise control take full advantage of these features. At the destination, refuel again to determine the amount of fuel used and the distance traveled by the thread, and to calculate the fuel efficiency.

Fuel economy review departs

Note that when driving 100 km/h, the engine rev of the fourth generation Sorento 2.2D 4WD is slightly above 1500 rpm.


Jungbu inland highway section
The Jungbu Expressway, which has passed the Yeoju branch, will run to the Namkimcheon IC near the destination. The maximum speed limit varies depending on the section, but is adjusted to 110 km/h by the down-slope point and then to 100 km/h. As a result, the smart cruise control was set to a maximum speed of 110 km/h with the entry at the Yeoju branch.

At 110 km/h the engine revs of the Sorento are approximately 1,750 rpm. The third-generation platform not only improves overall driving stability, but also allows dual-joint sound glass to be applied to the front and left and right sides of the first row to effectively block noise when driving at high speeds.

Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)

Jungbu inland highway section _ to Nakdong Branch
We left the rest area right after an interim inspection and continued our drive to the destination, Gimcheon. From Goesan Rest Area to Nakdong Branch, the maximum speed limit for the Jungbu Inland Expressway was 110km/h, setting the new Sorento's smart cruise control back to its maximum speed and continuing its driving. After entering the rest stop, the road was smooth and was able to maintain its flow at its maximum speed.
